Avni at Courtfield Gardens Hotel
The hotel nestles comfortably at the corner of Courtfield and Collingham Gardens, in South Kensington. It is 700 metres from Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre and 520 metres from Earl’s Court underground station, which offers quick access to the shops and theatres of the West End, as well as many other famous London sights.

Avni at Courtfield Gardens Hotel
Newly opened in 2006, the Avni at Courtfield Gardens Hotel occupies a converted Victorian townhouse with a white stucco and brownstone façade. The medium sized lobby is appointed in a modern style with some seating. The property contains 55 simple guestrooms, 13 of which are duplexes with private kitchenette facilities. Accommodation is spread over 5 floors, accessed by a new lift, and ground floor rooms are available. All the guestrooms feature light coloured walls, complemented by tan and leather furnishings. The en suite bathrooms are fully tiled. The hotel has a breakfast room on the lower ground floor. This is a very basic property not suitable for many travellers.

more like an upmarket social security hostal - putting a trendy bedspread on a tatty old bed does not make it a boutique style hotel - there were boot marks on the walls, the tv was faulty and the staff weren't the least bit interested - the breakfast was either toast or cereal - our room had one working light in it as two other ceiling bulbs were faulty [there are no bedside lamps] and the shower room was not clean - the place smells musty and damp - the windows do not close properly and do not lock which makes the rooms insecure - i will never ever stay there again.
Top Tip
stay elsewhere - pay the extra money for somewhere like holiday inn. this is not a nice hotel to stay in.

Avoid room 206 until they fit a new window. The existing sashes in the present one are almost falling out of the frame!
Even worse they had no marmalade!
Top Tip
Fork out the extra £20 and upgrade. This hotel is 2 star.
(I missed my fry up and Marmalade)
